But! I have a sample of the creature's DNA. Multiple samples actually, so we have some room for error there if you want to run tests. I've been trying to isolate unique strands to target, and I've had some luck but it doesn't always work. But god how did I not think about human DNA and creating an antidote to my own sleeping gas?!?
[ Caitlin lets out a sigh at that. Forty eight hours isn't a lot of time, so this will most definitely be a challenge, but neither is it too much of a time crunch. It's doable, but it'll be down to the wire, she thinks. ]

[ She seems to brighten a little when he mentions that he has samples of the monster's DNA. That might actually make it even easier, if the monster is singular or at least is the only species that they're dealing with, because that way, she can develop to target the monster rather than to target all and cure humans.

It's not even as broad as a single species that Ray's worried about. It's one parent, and a thousand children. Fast breeders, these monsters, but it also means they share DNA. ]

If he knew her better, he'd know that she'll be aiming to finish it as soon as possible and that twenty-four hour deadlines are preferable to forty-eight hour ones, anyway. Instead, she smiles a little when he gets back on track and says he'll send her instructions. ]
Okay, I'll be there soon, then. I'll head out right now.
